Susan Segsworth received her Bachelors’ degrees in Sociology and Spanish from Taylor University. In 2003, she joined Classical Christian to share her love of Christ with the Fifth Grade as they study the truths of each subject. “I enjoy teaching History in a sequential format which impacts the other subjects in class.” Incorporating songs, sounding-off, and chants to aid in memorization of key facts, the fifth graders also daily recall the class motto of setting an example so that no one despises [their] youth. Gayle Mangis has delighted in sharing a classical education with her students since joining the CCA faculty in 2006. “What is more satisfying than hearing your students continue a class discussion on their own time…?” Yet she says the greater pleasure “is the opportunity of partnering with parents to grow [students] into mature, thinking, Disciples of Christ, realizing that they have the power to influence their world.” Mrs. Mangis received her Associates degree and Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from North Idaho College with a Major in English and Minor in History. |
