Poetry Out Loud – February 6th, 2020
Our Logic and Rhetoric students participated in our Annual Poetry Out Loud Contest. Maria Palmer won first place for the second year in a row. She heads to Boise to compete at the state level. Maria recited – Constancy to an Ideal Object by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Carry Your Heart with Me (I Carry It In) by E.E. Cummings. Nathan Bosse, the first runner up, recited – Immortal Sails by Alfred Noise and The Glories of our Blood and State by James Shirley. Seth Hill, the second runner up, recited – I am Learning to Abandon the World by Linda Pastan and Thoughtless Cruelty by Charles Lamb.
