Caitlin joined Classical Christian Academy in 2013, in fifth grade, after growing up with parents who strongly believed in home education. Her decision, made with the full support of her parents, to join a traditional classroom was motivated by her desire to become a nurse, doctor, or something medical, she said at the time. While she enjoyed learning at home, she hoped that a rigorous school environment would prepare her fo the future she envisioned. She believed that a calling was placed on her heart that she should gain as much knowledge as she could about how humans are made and function so that she could help people overcome health challenges.
She grew up in a Protestant Evangelical Christian home with the Bible as the cent of her education and development. One of her favorite verses is found in Ephesians 2:10. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Caitlin believes that her time at CCA has helped to shape her into the person God wants her to be in order to serve others and share the Gospel wherever He leads. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
She plans to study nursing, earn her RN, BSN, and then MSN with a focus on nursing education to eventually teach nurses to reach even more people with her skills and make the most of every opportunity to reach the world with the Gospel of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
