I’ve attended CCA since Kindergarten and I have the honor of being Co-Valedictorian with Alyssa this year! Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love our school’s robotics program! I have participated in it for ten years, and there are so many memories I treasure from it. From wheels falling off, numerous inside jokes, the practices, to the chaos of competitions, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have so many connections and skills from it, and it really has helped shape my more creative side. Another activity I enjoy on my own time is drawing. I’ve been drawing for about five years for leisure, and it’s quite therapeutic for me. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums, and more recently I’ve tried to get better at digital art. Speaking of which, I plan to attend the University of Idaho and major in Virtual Technology and Design, and possibly minor in mechanical engineering.
To say only A teacher made an impact on my life would be an understatement, as all of the CCA staff has impacted me in so many ways. I am so incredibly thankful for the support, kindness, and guidance that the CCA teachers have given me, as it’s really helped me build my confidence.
On my mind at the moment was our tenth grade Omnibus class with Mr. Chastain. His class really helped me realize the importance of education, and why my parents and teachers have invested so much into my upbringing. I still remember the first question he asked our class at the beginning of sophomore year; “Why are you here?” It seemed odd, and it was supposed to. However, it helped me begin to realize how precious my education is. Nearing the end of my senior year, I know why I’m here, and although I’ll miss CCA dearly, I will carry the love of learning (and the importance of a lifelong pursuit of learning) wherever I go.
