CCA’s Student Government organizes student body events in collaboration with Administration. Events include clubs, dances, community volunteerism, development of school unity with Centurion Games, as well as supporting a Compassion Child. Student Government consists of Officers (10th-12th grades) and Class Ambassadors (7th-12th grades).
Chorale and Music
All of our students through 8th grade attend music classes. 9th-12th grade students can take music as an elective. Our Christmas program, Grandparent’s day, Royal Raffle Benefit Ball, and Presentation Night are the major performance events for our students. As Psalm 147:1 says, “Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.”
The Logic and Rhetoric students take the literature they have read from the page to the stage. Our Shakespearean Feast has our students preforming scenes from different plays, such as, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Speech and Debate
Public Speaking is an important life skill that is emphasized in Classical Education. Our Grammar students stand in front of their peers to recite poems, historical speeches, or Bible verses. They then have the opportunity to go on to compete against other local private schools. Our Logic and Rhetoric students take part in the Poetry Out Loud competition.
Robotic Teams (JrFLL, FLL, FTC) – Click here go to our Robotics webpage. Our Robotics teams start in 1st grade and go all the way through high school. Teamwork, computer programming, and problem-solving are some of the skills learned as a member of one of our Robotics teams.
Our Middle School competed in TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science). This is an annual competition for students to help them discover their potential for engineering. They won best in the State of Idaho for 2015.
The Pre-Calculus and Calculus students competed in North Idaho College’s 34th Annual Math Contest. Classical Christian Academy won first place for Division II schools in 2016.
